Patients and the public invited to work with Yorkshire Ambulance Service to promote safe practice when assisting people to move

Published: 23 January 2014

Moving Together – “No Decision Without Me”

Event date: Thursday 13 February 2014

The Octagon, Walker Street, Hull, HU3 2RA

10am – 12.30pm

As part of our Patient Safety Programme, Yorkshire Ambulance Service is inviting members of the public to attend an event looking at the way we assist people to move.  This could be supporting people to walk from their house to a vehicle or using a carry chair or stretcher.

We would like to hear from patients, families and carers about their experiences and get their insights into how we can best help people feel safe whilst moving.  Learning from the event will inform our staff training and communications.

To book your place at this event please email foundationtrust@yas.nhs.uk or telephone 01924 584039.  Light refreshments will be provided.  The Octagon is an accessible venue – please let us know if you have any special requirements.
