Public Invited to Ambulance Service Presentation

18 January 2013

Members of the public are being offered the chance to find out about the work that Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is doing to manage patients who have suffered a stroke.

In a pre-Trust Board presentation, Assistant Clinical Director Jacqui Crossley will discuss the latest developments in the pre-hospital care of stroke patients including how the Trust’s staff look after them from the initial 999 call for help, to being assessed, treated and transferred to a hospital with specialist stroke services.

The presentation will take place, between 09.00 and 09.30, ahead of the next Trust Board meeting being held in public on Tuesday 29 January 2013 at The Carlton Park Hotel in Rotherham. The main Trust Board meeting will commence at 09.45.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to find out more about the Trust’s aspiration to become an NHS foundation trust and can apply to become a member.

If you would like to attend the meeting please register your interest by emailing corp-comms@yas.nhs.uk or telephoning 01924 584035.
