Public Invited to Ambulance Service Event

Yorkshire Ambulance Service Trust Board Meeting Held in Public and presentation on ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) on Tuesday 25 November 2014

Members of the public are invited to a Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust presentation on a type of heart attack known as ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) as well as being given the opportunity to find out more about the wider work of the Trust.

The presentation on STEMI, which has characteristic changes on a patient's electrocardiogram (ECG) and makes them easier to spot than other types of heart attack, will be given by Paramedic Richard Pilbery before the next Trust Board Meeting Held in Public on Tuesday 24 November 2014. It will take place between 10.15am and 10.45am, prior to the Trust Board meeting at the National Railway Museum in York, which will start at 11.00am.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to find out more about the Service’s aspiration to become an NHS Foundation Trust and how they can become a Member of Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service has Trust Board Meetings Held in Public at locations across Yorkshire and the Humber every two months and these events give members of the local community the opportunity to look behind the scenes at the emergency service. The meetings include discussions of issues facing the service and are attended by Trust Board members as well as senior management.
