Non-Executive Director Sought for Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust

28 November 2017

The region’s ambulance service is looking to appoint a non-executive director to serve on its Trust Board and chair the Audit Committee.

This is an excellent opportunity a person with significant finance experience, gained at senior level, in a large and complex organisation to share their talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of people in the communities served by the Trust. Applicants are required to have considerable experience of chairing an Audit Committee and preferably hold a financial qualification.

The Trust is looking for an individual with a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent healthcare services with a high level understanding of the principles of sound corporate governance and strong analytical and critical reasoning skills.

Non-executive directors make a full contribution to the Board’s debates and discussions, bringing independence, external perspectives, skill and challenge to strategy development.

For more information and to apply for the role of non-executive director, interested candidates should visit the NHS Improvement website

Candidates should live in or have strong connections with Yorkshire and the Humber.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 1 December 2017 at 11am.

The other Yorkshire Ambulance Service non-executive directors are currently Pat Drake, Erfana Mahmood, Barrie Senior, John Nutton and Ronnie Coutts and associate non-executive directors are Phil Storr and Tim Gilpin. The Chairman is Kathryn Lavery.
