Facts and figures about women in the Yorkshire Ambulance Service workforce:

  • When Yorkshire Ambulance Service was formed from the merger of three former services in 2006, 41.5% of the workforce were women. Women now make up 46.3% of our workforce.
  • In 2006 32.1% of paramedics were women. Now, 41.6% of paramedics are women.
  • Four of our six non-executive directors are women, as well as the chairman.
  • Nine of our 17 Associate Directors are women.
