News and Media

News and media are coordinated by our Corporate Communications team.


Our busy press office handles upwards of 2,000 media enquiries a year. These include local, regional and national media covering print, radio and television.

We work closely with local journalists to provide regular factual, objective, honest, open and timely information about the work of YAS and its performance. Where members of staff go above and beyond the call of duty to care for patients in unusual or difficult circumstances we actively seek to promote their achievements.

In addition to routine media work, we are always on stand-by to coordinate media information in the event of a major emergency.
