Patient Experience Projects

Using real experiences of our patients allows Yorkshire Ambulance Service to transform the way we work and the quality of our services.

Early Implementation of the Friends and Family Test Question

The Friends and Family Test (FFT) National Guidance also influences the delivery of a national 2014-15 Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) which includes a target for early implementation of the FFT question in ambulance services by October 2014.  In order to achieve this, we have implemented the following:

A&E

Leaflets are being left with patients who are not taken to hospital.  This leaflet explains how service users can feedback about our services by answering the FFT question.

Patient Transport Service (PTS)

Posters are visible in PTS vehicles and also in Patient Reception Centres (where our patients wait to be transported home).  Leaflets are also available.  These posters and leaflets explain how service users can feedback about our services by answering the FFT question.
