Community Risk Register
The Community Risk Register is prepared for each county within the borders of Yorkshire and the Humber to satisfy the requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and its associated statutory guidance on Emergency Preparedness. It has been produced on behalf of all Category 1 responders within those counties who are members of the Local Resilience Forums.
Through the risk assessments, emergency plans, warning and informing messages and business continuity arrangements made by Category 1 responders such as Yorkshire Ambulance Service, the public can be reassured that a comprehensive assessment of hazards, such as flooding, has been made. There is a separate process led by the local Police Forces and local authorities which relates to the assessment and response to the threats from criminal activity and from terrorist incidents.
