Telephone Advisor

As a Telephone Advisor within our Emergency Operations Centre you will be the first point of contact for callers to the 999 service including patients, relatives, healthcare professionals, other emergency services and the new NHS 111 service.  You will handle emergency calls and act as the liaison between the caller and the ambulance crew.

Often dealing with sensitive and traumatic patient information, Telephone Advisors are always caring and compassionate, taking accurate details for ambulance transport using the Advanced Medical Priority Dispatch System (AMPDS) for both emergencies and non-emergencies.
