Equality Delivery System (EDS2)

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) is committed to ensuring that there is equality of opportunity for all our staff, patients, and visitors and uses the Equality Diversity System Version 2 (EDS2).

The Equality Delivery System (EDS2) has been used by the NHS since 2011 and includes a set of 18 outcomes and a streamlined grading system. It allows the Trust the opportunity to work to a nationally recognised framework and embrace positive change and fairness for all.

For the latest EDS2 guidance documents follow this link.

  • Equality Delivery System (EDS) Overview and update on new Personal Fair & Diverse Council (2013)
  • A Refreshed Equality Delivery System for the NHS (Nov 2013)
  • Q&A EDS2 (Nov 2013)
  • EDS2 Goals & Outcomes (Oct 2013)

EDS2 seeks views to identify priority needs, from patients, stakeholder partners and staff across the ‘protected groups’. Protected groups include the following: age, disability, gender re-assignment, sexual orientation, religion and belief, sex, race, maternity and pregnancy, and marriage and civil partnerships.

Your views are important to us and we are always interested to hear how we can make our information, services and premises more inclusive and this is especially the case for seldom-heard communities.
