Has your child had to be taken to hospital by ambulance after an injury in the last six months?
Would you like to be involved in helping research about their experience?

If so we would like to hear from you – we are a group of researchers from Yorkshire Ambulance Service and the Sheffield Children’s Hospital, seeking to improve the way the ambulance service treats children in pain after being injured.

We are looking for children and their parents/ guardians to take part in a workshop. During the workshop we would like to hear about your experiences of calling 999 and the pain relief that your child received from the ambulance staff before arriving at hospital.

We would also like to discuss our proposed research project with you. These discussions will help us design our research study.

If you wish to speak to us at our event in Barnsley at Mapplewell and Staincross Village Hall, Darton Lane, Mapplewell, Barnsley S75 6AL on 24 October 2019 from 3.00pm to 5.30pm.

Refreshments and a £10 voucher for your time will be available on the day.

If you would like to attend please contact Fiona Bell, Acting Head of Research, phone 01924 584 224 or email or
