Time to Talk Day 2019

07 February 2019

It’s Time to Talk Day on 7 February 2019!

Thursday 7 February is Time to Talk Day – a day when everyone is encouraged to have a conversation about mental health.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service is encouraging staff to use the event as an opportunity to talk to colleagues about mental health which affects one in four of us every year.

The awareness event is also being used to urge employees to think about the different ways to have a conversation about mental health – not just on Time to Talk Day but all year round. This could be listening to a colleague over a cuppa, on the way back to the station after a job, or spending part of a meeting making sure everyone knows what channels of support are available.

Time to Talk Day is run by Time to Change to help spread the word that there are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health. You don’t have to be an expert to talk.

Time to Change is England’s biggest programme to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination and is run by the charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.
