Privacy Notice: PaNDA-PHEM Study

This national service evaluation project, endorsed by the Paediatric Critical Care Society (PCCS) will create a national registry of airway management. This will allow assessment of variations in practice for advanced paediatric airway management, the incidence of difficult airway management and complications in UK air ambulance services and Advanced Prehospital Care Teams. This will allow benchmarking for individual services against national data.

How will my information be used?

We hope this national service evaluation will help identify factors which may direct quality improvement projects and education to improve safety of pre hospital airway management for critically ill and injured children across the UK.

If you have any questions about how your data is used in this study, please contact us at yas.research@nhs.net.

Sharing your information

Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Yorkshire Ambulance Service MERIT clinicians will submit clinical data relating to eligible incidents they attend. No personal identifiable data will be submitted and the date of the incident will be restricted to month and year only to reduce the risk of identification of patients. Data will be submitted using a Microsoft form to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff who are co-ordinating the registry.

How long will you keep hold of my information?

The data will be stored securely for no more than 5 years after the study ends. After this period, it will be permanently deleted.
