Our busy press office handles upwards of 2,000 media enquiries a year from local, regional and national media. We work to provide regular, factual, objective, honest and open information about Yorkshire Ambulance Service as well as promoting the achievements of our staff. 

Our Press Office operates between 09.00 and 17.30, Monday to Friday.

Please note: Out of hours, our Press Office team operates an on-call system for very urgent enquiries relating to major events or incidents. Please call the number above for details of the on-call press officer.

All routine enquiries will only be dealt with during normal office hours; they can be emailed during evenings, weekends and bank holidays to to be picked up on the next working day.

Incident information which we can provide

During office hours, we are able to supply information about public incidents if you can provide the following details:

  • Nature of incident (eg road traffic collision)
  • Date and time of incident
  • Location of incident

Please bear in mind that we are bound by strict patient confidentiality rules and we therefore cannot provide the following information:

  • Patient names
  • Details relating to a patient treated at a private address
  • Condition checks for patients admitted to hospital

Please note that incidents involving fatalities can only be confirmed by police.
