Yorkshire Ambulance Service supports Restart a Heart Live

Yorkshire Ambulance Service is proud to support Restart a Heart Live which invites the public to join a free, 20-minute online CPR and defibrillator training event on Thursday 1 October.

The sessions run on the hour, every hour, from 09.00 to 19.00 and no equipment is required, participants can practise using a cushion or a bag with a jacket in it. Those who can’t join live can register to access the training recording at their convenience.

The event is funded by the Scottish Ambulance Service, in partnership with Save a Life for Scotland, Save a Life Cymru and NHS Charities Together.

The initiative is being held as we make preparations to visit 173 secondary schools across Yorkshire to teach CPR to more than 35,000 students on and around Restart a Heart Day (16 October 2026).
