Yorkshire residents urged to support Check Your Defib Week
15 June 2026
Yorkshire Ambulance Service is supporting Check Your Defib Week by encouraging communities across the region to check their public access defibrillators and make sure they are rescue ready.
The national campaign, led by Resuscitation Council UK from 15 to 21 June, asks defibrillator Guardians to inspect their devices and follow the practical guidance available to help keep them maintained and ready to use.
Keeping a defibrillator up to date and correctly listed on The Circuit, the national defibrillator network, helps 999 call handlers direct people quickly to a rescue-ready device when every second counts.
