Issues with BT 999 system - update

A national BT technical fault with the 999 number this morning (Sunday 25 June 2023) has prevented some calls from being connected to emergency services.

Whilst we are now receiving 999 calls, we are awaiting confirmation from BT that this issue has been fully resolved.

In the meantime, we are advising members of the public with a serious medical emergency to call 999 in the first instance, but if they experience any issues to dial 111 and their call will be redirected.

For less serious illnesses or injuries please use 111 online.
